As a UX Manager, I love mentoring and coaching designers to become leaders, advancing their careers by designing bar-raising customer experience outcomes. I believe in being empathetic through building trust with my employees, providing them a safe place to bring their authentic self. I empower them with autonomy and the ability to push the limits of what we think we can do into the realm of the uncomfortable, and collaborating with stakeholders and leadership on an experience vision that excellerates and boosts success for the business. In doing so, creating amazing experiences that make people's lives better. As a designer, I am passionate about bringing experiences to life that improve the lives of those who use them. I believe being thorough but tactical allows me to move quickly and make data-backed decisions while ensuring I'm investing the right time and resources in the right place. Design cannot be done well in a silo. It's critical to invest your time in being inclusive, working cross-functionally and horizontally across the organization to gain as many different perspectives as possible. Leveraging ethnographic research is the best way to truly understand how a user engages with your product, and reinforcing it with various other research methods helps my team and I to make informed decisions.
